 >>Junior club See Santa in Castlefinn Click Here <<

Northwest Christmas Wonderland, CPI centre Castlefinn

A big thumb’s up from the Doneyloop Youth Club, it was magic and friendly as always Santa was excellent with the kid’s, and so was Mrs Claus.

North Pole Castlefin, Warm Clothes essential, highly recommended great value at €8.

Lovely market good selection of stalls, first stall was from the Alt, mouth-watering selection of home baking at a good price

and I didn’t have a penny in my pocket, as we had over twenty kid’s with us, shopping was not on my mind when going there.

There was live reindeer and other animals to see there too. Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into this, very well done to all involved.

It brought back memories of when I was a child that must be a little over ten years ago now!!! lol   I Wish.
A Big Thank You goes to Santa and Mrs Claus plus Santa’s little helpers and not so little helpers for a lovely time

Click on the pictures, for the big picture.

Resident Donegal moth expert Ralph Sheppard who has a deep knowledge of the local wildlife scene, and long experience in ecological matters recently visited our Youth Club and talked to junior club.

Ralph is an environmental consultant and author of the national review of wetland birds, ‘Irelands Wetland Wealth'

and has recently been involved in setting up an innovative website on Donegal Moths www.skylarks.ie/donegalmoths .

It was a very interesting talk with loads of questions from kids .

There was a subsequent field trip, moth traps where placed out the night before.

This trip was delayed due to bad weather so the turnout was small, But for those that where there found it amazing to see so many different and beautiful

 types of moths .
